Hypothesis:
I found information on how heat affects the colors black and white.
But I want to find out about how heat affects other colors. For
my project, I will test the colors blue, green, red and orange.
I think that the colors blue and green are going to be the two hues that will absorb the most heat. I think blue and green are both of the same shades of darkness, and dark colors absorb heat the most.
Red and orange are lighter colors than blue or green. So I think they will not attract as much heat. (Professor Sunny’s note: Christina used the same amount of food color and water for each sample)
Conclusion:
I learned that light colors (red and orange) relect the sun’s
rays and heat. I learned that dark colors (green and blue) don’t
reflect much of the sun’s rays and absorb more heat. For this
reason, I would wear light colors on a hot summer day. And I would
wear darker colors on a cold winter day.
