Abstract: Tidal energy is a renewable energy source that can give off sufficient amounts of energy with a very efficient system. There are many different machines that can be built to put out energy at many different locations. Just about any place on the beach or with a fast moving river can have a tidal energy machine to power homes and businesses. There are very little requirements for tidal energy. All that is needed is a water source with either waves or moving water of any type to turn a wheel which will produce energy.
In the experiment that was conducted, a tidal energy machine was created and tested at a beach. Energy was produced on a small scale. The machine itself combines air pressure, water, and a horizontal wheel which is turned to produce energy. When the water forces the air up, and the air causes the wheel to spin so this is really a hybrid of wind and tidal energy.
The resulting effects of the machine was that it put out energy on a small scale for a small machine with only one wheel to spin. It put out between 2 and 25 watts of energy. This is not enough energy to power that much, but it does prove that it can provide cheap energy and with size increased models more energy can be produced to power larger homes. It is a strong source of energy but not a reliable one.
