Test Performance Results

Location: Brianna’s front yard
Solar Car only ran 20 feet secondary to gear on axle and gear on motor not interlocking constantly.
Date: 4/2/21 Time: 1510
Weather: Sunny
Location: Pembroke Pines charter Elementary FSU met with Science teacher Mrs. Rivera
Solar Car not moving forward. Gear on axle and gear on motor not interlocking, even tho the motor is running.
Date: 4/10/21 Time: 1645
Weather: Sunny
Location : Brianna’s front yard
Final test performance day, Solar Car ran over 30 feet. Gear on axle and gear on motor interlocking constantly.

Modifications

Original materials used
3/21/21 Chassis was too small
3/21/21Chassis extended and chop sticks added for solar panel
3/22/21 Modification of straw size
Second modification of straws on axles
4/6/21 Another modification of straw size suggestion by Mrs.Rivera
popsicle sticks used to keep solar panel up, paper clip kept coming off
4/2/21 popsicle sticks used to hold solar panel upon place along with hot glue. The original paper clip in the front kept coming off.
4/3/21Gear on the motor not interlocking with the axle gear
solution to gears not interlocking. wiring the motor in place.
4/6/21 Final modification of holding the motor in place helped the gears interlock. Holes were created in the chassis and wires were applied to force the gears in place.
