Team GREEN

This is team GREEN from the STEM Tech Academy in Melbourne, Florida. Our team meets on Saturdays at STEM Tech to work on cool projects like LEGO robotics, 3D printing and Junior Solar Sprint. We named our team GREEN because our car is made of recyclable and reused materials.

Team Members – Ryan Arriaga and Jayden Brown

Helpers/Mentors – Darrell Thomas, Nathalie Tucker, Mike Morrison

Car Design –

Our car is made mostly from recyclable our re-used materials which is why we call our team GREEN. The car is made mostly of foam board and balsa wood to make the car light. We cut out sections of the body to make the wheels and axles fit and to make the car lighter.

Car in Motion –

This is our car being tested on a cloudy day. Our car is in the left lane. It was not working very well when we made the video but after testing we were able to work on the car and make it go faster. Ryan and I found that our back wheels were hanging up.

  • Great name! I really like how you have the helpers listed too. That is a great idea to keep everyone involved and give them credit.
