Hi! I’m Kyler S.! Hi! I’m Dylan M. We worked together really hard to make this project work. Today we are going to be presenting to you one of a kind.  The electrocity! Why did we make this? You may be asking yourself. Because we want to show that renewable energy is important.

Biomass first of all is really important, because it gives animals habitats and it makes nature look beautiful while still being a source of energy. Wind energy can be useful by using the power of wind to turn it into electricity. We put it in the ocean because the ocean has a lot of wind. “Geothermal” takes the hot water created by magma, puts it into a factory to take the energy and sends the cold water back to the earth. Solar, we created a lot of solar panels to create a solar farm to capture energy from the sun. We chose a 3D model because we enjoy arts and crafts and it lets people view it from multiple sides.

BioMass Island

It is a forest where we used boxes, clay, pipe cleaners, tape, paint, popsicle sticks and we used the boxes for the land. The clay was used for the fruit. The pipe cleaners were for the eggplant , the paper is grass, pine trees, and blueberry bushes. We taped the pine trees to the popsicle sticks and paper. The paint was for the grass.

Geo Thermal Island

We used green paper to make the grass. We used clay, aluminum foil, and a box to create the geothermal factory. They used red stings for hot water going into the factory and blue strings for cold water coming out of the factory. We used a cardboard box to make the dirt and land. We used blue paper to make hot water. Then used brown and red paper to make magma.

Wind Energy Island

We used pencils to create the wind turbine. We used blue tape and glue and paint to create the ocean. We used cardboard to make the center of the wind turbine and popsicle sticks for the blades. We used a toothpick to make it able to spin!

Solar Island:

We used index cards to make the solar panels. We used blue crayons to make the cells on the solar panels. We used tape and another index card to create a base for each panel. We placed it on a large cardboard box and white tape to represent sand.

Electrocity:

In the center of our designs is “Electrocity”, which represents the headquarters of renewable energy. Each of the islands has a black cord that connects to the base of the building.  In the future we hope to have a lot more renewable energy sources that we can use again and again. The center of the building is a skyscraper with a massive lightbulb on top of the skyscraper. Inside the lightbulb is a tiny lightbulb that actually works! (We used double A batteries to light the lightbulb without using a chord)

The end! Hope you enjoyed! 😀
