Green Living, Energy Inspired Bottle Cap Mural

The message we want people to understand when they look at our art is a feeling of happiness. Our peaceful ocean view is the world as it should be a clean and safe habitat for animals to grow and live. The bottle caps represent the trash that can be recycled but sometimes ends up in the ocean. Can you find the 4 hidden words in our mural? These 4 words represent the renewable resources that are hidden in plane sight. Using renewable energy such as hydro energy, solar energy and energy from the wind, we can live a green lifestyle. Green living is making choices that conserves and preserves the Earth’s natural resources and habitats.
Our art medium is a mix media.
First we primed the plywood.
Next we sketched out our ideas.
Then we painted it with Recycled paint from the Sarno Landfill (Hazardous Waste Facility).
Finally we attached the bottle caps on top of the painted mural.

This is so cool! What a creative idea. Love that you were able to get the whole school involved. Look at all that plastic you kept out of our landfill and turned into a beautiful piece of art highlighting all the different kinds of energy in the world. Great job.
