Artist statement
I chose to paint this because I feel really sad about climate change. I think people should help stop climate change by planting more plants and walking more than riding a car. Not only will it benefit nature, but it will benefit your health. Polar bears need ice to survive. They will starve and die if they don’t have ice. Polar bears are not the only animals suffering from climate change. Penguins, whales, seals, and many other animals too. But, if we come together and stop climate change, we might save a few species from going extinct.
You have amazing Painting skills, great use of color, and great concept with the SOS flag.

When I first saw this, I had such mixed emotions. I thought the little polar bear was so cute and then I saw the little flag and I teared up. How sad! What a powerful point you made with this beautiful piece of artwork.
