Basic information

There are two people on our team, Amzi and Nathan. Amzi is friendly and HIGHLY intelligent. Nathan is smart and _______. Our car is called the Cosmos Cruiser. The theme of our car is (obviously) space. We started with gears, but then switched to pulley on March 3rd due to the fact that the gears kept falling off and when they stayed on, they wouldn’t move the car.

Record

Today is March 25, 2025. I am about to test the solar car. -Testing-testing-testing- testing-testing-testing- testing-testing-testing- testing-testing-testing- testing-testing-testing- testing-testing-testing- testing-testing-testi-DONE Okay, so I got to test it once, and I got 13.25. Not the best for us (10.56), but still good enough.

DAY: 2

Today is March 26, 2025. Again, Nathan isn’t here. I did two timed tests, which gets us to the goal of three! The first test was 10.77, and the second test was 11.78, which is pretty good! The average time is 11.93, which is about 12 seconds.

WEATHER UPDATE: Sunny, no clouds.

11.1! Another test. now our average is 11.725.

4/1/25

Today, we added our batteries to the car. We also made side bars for our car.

Innovations and Attachments

We made a rubber band system so you can bend them for the solar panel to be angled. We made a back compartment to look at the inside and the wiring.

  • Keep up the great work, and continue the testing. Be sure to double check the requirements before race day! For example the ping pong ball and guide wire attachment.

  • Good job finding the best transmission for your car. What did you use to steer the device? I can’t seem to find a description or a picture.
