Read MoreThis is a solar oven constructed of a Styrofoam cooler, divider, insolation tape, solar blanket, black paper, black duct tape, cardboard, plexiglass, masking tape, and tin foil trays. Our team of three constructed this at Milwee Middle School in two weeks. We will be preparing, cooking, and serving chicken Italian sausages, rice with basil and tomatoes, and chocolate covered pretzels and strawberries. We cooked twice over the course of two days. The highest temperature was 200 degrees Fahrenheit. This oven helps the environment and reduces pollution that would have been emitted from an oven from your home.
